I'm looking for 'green' Canadians! This truly is a time of change. We are continually bombarded by environmental warnings and concerns. What are we to do? Where do we start? Can any one person really make a difference? It's enough to cause one to run amuck trying to make massive lifestyle changes only to collapse under the weight of such a seemingly enormous challenge. (Check out our new Eco-Blog!) In the immortal words of one of my favourite Bill Murray movies, What About Bob? ,it's all about taking 'baby steps'. Many people have come up with creative (and sometimes, amazingly simple) ways to Green their lives, homes, businesses and communities. What better way to find answers to the above questions than to visit with these Green change-agents, experience their solutions and share them with all concerned (which means all of us who call this beautiful planet home). Help me to discover these people, businesses and communities, as I start my one-year journey by driving across Canada, by sharing your stories of people and places I can visit to experience what 'Green' truly means (recommendations for some good 'driving songs' will also be much appreciated). If you are out and about, look for the guy driving the Green Car of the Year 2009 (VW Jetta TDI Clean Diesel station wagon), drinking out of his stainless steel water bottle and sporting the license plate 'GO EARTH' (the car, not me). If you do spot me during my travels, come say 'Hi' (after my car comes to a complete stop) and we'll go for a fair-trade coffee and talk organic turkey. NOTE: Your email address will NOT be shared with anyone. It will only be used if I have any questions about your message/recommendations. Please fill in the form below. ![]() |
